Union Finance Minister Niramala Sitharaman on Tuesday responded to Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s remark on the ‘Halwa Ceremony’. Sitharaman in his speech slammed Gandhi and said, “It pains me. If only we know the background with which Halwa ceremonies are celebrated. In this country, there is a tradition of serving something sweet before starting any good work. When did it become a photo event? In 2013-14, why didn’t he (Rahul Gandhi) ask the then Finance Minister about how many SCs and STs were there in the ministry?” Watch the video for details.
