We are looking for a team to help us build and maintain our ASP.NET Website Applications programmed in Visual Basic. This will be an long term relationship and you will work on a varying number of projects, sometimes being moved from one project to another when priorities change.

One of our applications is used by 1000 users and generates millions of dollars worth of orders to suppliers. It is old and it is complex, but it will be rewarding to work on for the right team member. And it is currently in the initial stages of being rebuilt.

We don’t need you to know the applications entire flow or database structure, that is our jobs as the architects and support teams. So there will be no 20 hours of ‘discovery’ on our applications. We will point you to the pages, code and database assets we need changed. Hopefully over time you will get to know our applications.

Required skills

– Creation/Consumption of Web Services/APIs

Ideally you will have worked with:
– Large database driven websites
– Integrating 3rd party Web Services/APIs
– Complex TSQL to improve performance
– Experience with the Metronic Admin framework

The team member assigned must
– Be able to follow older style code (but be up to speed with newer concepts)
– Be able to follow step by step instructions.
– Be able to ask questions before embarking on 5 hours work to understand tasks.

We currently have projects that require 15-20 hours a week of work for the right company, and are looking for a long term relationship in building systems on time.
