Overview of project: Wanting help with my offgrid DC house. My cooling is a 48 vdc ground source heat pump that goes to a heat exchanger with a fan under it (also 48 vdc). These fans will be powered via a relay with a 24 vac coil and a contact voltage above 48 vdc. My heating is a in slab radiant water loop system. These pieces include 24 vdc water circulator pumps and solenoid valves which will be actuated by a relay with a 24 vac coil and a 24 vdc rated contactor.
Why 24 vac?
Vent dampers and common thermostats all seem to use 24 vac. I am hoping to open/close the vent dampers based on temperature inputs from the probes/thermostats.
What I’m looking for: A board that can be programmed (via board interface or computer interface) accept temperature/pressure or thermostat input and output 24 vac to common lead (can always have voltage) then a close/open lead depending on the circumstances.
Skills required:
– PCB design
– 24VAC systems
– Thermostat/temperature probe experience
– Schematic capture
