Location: Remote
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code using the Rails framework.
Integration of data storage solutions (e.g., PostgreSQL) and understanding of design pattern
Implement robust testing practices, including the use of RSpec, to ensure the quality of our applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Participate in all development lifecycle phases, from initial requirements gathering to production deployment and support.
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Ruby on Rails developer, with a strong portfolio of projects showcasing your skills.
In-depth understanding of Ruby language and Rails framework.
Proficiency with PostgreSQL or similar databases and their declarative query languages.
Familiarity with design patterns and their practical applications in Ruby on Rails.
Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and writing automated tests using RSpec or similar tools.
Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and learning.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
Hourly Range: $12.00-$15.00
