My  online Marketplace platform is designed to facilitate direct connections between healthcare facilities and independent healthcare professionals ( specifically Nurses ). We are laying the foundation for AI-powered innovations aimed at delivering a personalized and efficient hiring experience. Our intuitive platform is built to assist healthcare facilities in hiring nurses and to help nurses find employment efficiently.

I am seeking an experienced Fractional CTO to oversee our technology strategy and ensure the successful handover of our recently launched online marketplace. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, cloud infrastructure with expertise in PHP, Laravel Lumen, ReactJS, and AWS. The Fractional CTO will work closely with our team to review documentation, ensure the smooth operation of our platform, and provide technical leadership for our future projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Review and verify the documentation provided by my software vendor, ensuring it meets our requirements and is complete. Oversee the final deliverables and documentation from vendors for completeness and accuracy.
Assess the handover documentation provided by our previous software vendor, focusing on completeness and accuracy. Ensure all technical documentation is up-to-date, including deployment instructions, disaster recovery plans, API documentation, and database schemas. This includes:

Source code access and version control
Deployment instructions for all application components (EC2, RDS, load balancers, etc.)
Basic documentation (setup steps, critical configurations)
API documentation
Database schema
Testing information (test cases and results)

Conduct a thorough review of our application’s setup and configuration, including EC2 instances, RDS databases, and load balancers.
Evaluate the current AWS infrastructure for efficiency and potential cost optimization.
Work with the development team to implement best practices for code maintainability and scalability.
Provide technical leadership for our future AI initiatives, including assessing technology requirements and recommending suitable solutions.

Requirements:
Expertise in PHP, Laravel Lumen, ReactJS, and AWS.
Experience with Laravel Lumen (backend APIs), ReactJS (frontend), and microservices architecture.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Bitbucket, GitHub) and documentation tools.

Nice to Have:
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms, preferably AWS.
Familiarity with third-party integrations, particularly Stripe and SendGrid.

The emphasis is on sophisticated marketplace functionality, with plans to integrate AI and ML use cases in the near future. The platform operates under a subscription-based revenue model for facilities, while being free for nurses.
