Job Description:

35 Engineering is seeking a passionate and skilled Python Developer to join our team and help integrate cutting-edge software onto our web server. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art financial trading system that leverages APIs, backtesting engines, and AI-driven strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Backtesting Engine Development:

Implement a backtesting engine that utilizes FSM (Finite State Machine) models to test financial trading strategies against historical market data.
Optimize and enhance the performance of the backtesting engine.
State-Machine Engine Integration:

Develop a state-machine engine to execute FSM models for live trading using Tradier and eventually IBKR APIs.
Ensure seamless integration with Tradier API and maintain code for live trading.
Provide email updates on performance and critical maintenance issues to management.
AI-Driven Strategy Maker:

Collaborate on the development of an AI-driven FSM strategy maker.
Utilize proprietary AI to update existing strategies and generate new ones based on historical performance analysis.
Requirements:

Proficiency in Python: Strong coding skills and experience in Python are essential.
API Integration: Experience with API integration, particularly with financial APIs like Tradier or IBKR, is a plus.
Understanding of FSM: Familiarity with Finite State Machines and their application in trading strategies.
AI/ML Knowledge: Basic understanding of AI and machine learning concepts related to strategy development and optimization.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize complex systems.
Communication: Excellent communication skills to provide clear updates and reports to management.
