I have a food truck and participate in many large events. I would like to be able to provide wifi service with my GL.iNet GL-AXT1800 Slate AX router with OpenWrt paired with a wireless modem.
For marketing purposes, I’d like to capture contact information including first name, last name and email provided by customers in order to connect. I also need the contacts saved with a designator indicating at which event the contact was collected. I’d like these contacts able to be exported to a mail server account for marketing. Providing this email would give users wifi access for a limited time.
Alternatively, I’d like to be able to charge users for access for a longer time period. Ideally, this would be via Google Pay and Apple Pay. Possibly Bitcoin. However, another payment method may work as well.
After connecting the customer would then be forwarded to a thank-you page. I need to be able to easily customize this page for each event. I also need to be able to easily customize the text and graphic on the portal login page for each event. I’d like the pages to have multilingual capabilities. Usage limits and costs should also be customizable.
With regard to the access point, I need to be able to throttle speed and usage, and limit each user’s time. I’d like to be able to block sites, and block users. The router should be agnostic with regard to wireless service provider. No security concerns. Minimize ongoing costs. Prefer no ongoing costs above wireless carrier and possibly VPN. I also need to know what types of accounts to set up to be able to do this. Any other suggestions are appreciated.
