Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Product Manager to research competitors in the finance and accounting domain and develop an initial requirements document for a new product that offers superior capabilities and features. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, competitive analysis, and a good understanding of finance and accounting practices.

Responsibilities:
– Conduct detailed research on a specified competitor, analyzing their product features, strengths, and weaknesses.
– Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation based on competitor analysis.
– Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand their needs and requirements.
– Develop an initial requirements document that outlines the proposed new product’s features, functionalities, and user requirements.
– Provide recommendations on how to differentiate the new product from the competitor’s offerings.
– Create wireframes or mockups to illustrate key features and user flows (if applicable).

Requirements:
– Proven experience as a Product Manager.
– Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough competitor research.
– Experience in creating detailed requirements documents and product specifications.

Deliverables:
– Initial requirements document detailing the new product’s features, functionalities, and user requirements.
– Recommendations for differentiating the new product from the competitor’s offerings.
– Wireframes or mockups (if applicable).

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with finance and accounting software (e.g., Concur, Oracle Financials etc.).
Background in financial services or accounting.
