adminThe actual work will be working with a client – they are looking for a solid Java Springboot developer who will work on their backend systems to develop software that interfaces with a NoSQL DocumentDB database. They also have applications in GoLang and Python, so the engineer needs to have these under their belt as well. With Python, I believe either Flask or Django will be the frameworks being used.
You will be working alongside me to do work for a client I have. I’m looking for someone I can rely on. Every day we will sync up, I will give you tasks, and you will complete them and hand it to me and I will deliver it to the client.
The workflow:
– I attend meetings to understand requirements
– I send you recording of the meetings and we talk about what you need to complete for the day
– You do the task and write out every step you took. In the end you will make a recording detailing your steps.
– Once completed, we will do a code review. If all looks good, we have the handoff and I will give you your next assignment.
I want to work with someone who is available to work US Eastern Time (EST) time zone 10 am – 5 pm EST. You would be working with me for a few hours a day, five days a week. It would be a fixed weekly rate. If I really like you I would bring you onto my consultancy for a longer term. I anticipate maybe 15-20 hours of true work but it could be less.
I WANT to find a developer I can depend on and trust. This initial project with the hourly rate is just to try this approach out. If I can depend and trust you and your code is good, then we will set a weekly rate that will keep both of us happy. My goal is to have a multi-year (and more) relationship with you where I can promise you that you will be paid every week. Especially in this economy it’s really good to have a consistent salary. But the initial step will be to try this out with an hourly rate. I’ve been doing this for a while and if you stick with me i’ll make sure you always have money coming in.

Lastly, this is a dealbreaker for many so I want to make sure I am clear: THIS WILL require you to have really good internet speeds (in the 100s Mbps) hardwired in. Because I will need you to work on a remote machine. I know this is a dealbreaker for many because of slowness but this is my requirement. I will *not* be sending you any code to work on your machine.
We can try workarounds if I really like you but my requirement is that you must be willing and able to work on a remote machine.
