About the Alliance:
“The CalForest WRX Alliance is rooted in the love of the land and deep appreciation of the people and practices needed to steward the land. We recognize the benefits of utilizing wood in providing jobs, reducing catastrophic wildfires, and improving community and forest resilience.
The Alliance aims to convene tribal nations, forest landowners, private companies, service and training providers, non-profits, academia, and public agencies to facilitate a shared understanding of the markets, communities and ecosystem dynamics and needed shifts.
The Alliance engages the community’s unique assets (for example, existing companies and infrastructure, new entrepreneurs, public infrastructure, cultural heritage, and academic institutions) to increase opportunities, foster innovation, and enable strategic investments resulting in equitable outcomes.”

We aim to leave the world better than we found it by cultivating resilience in our landscapes, communities and economy.

We build community focused on creating systems that improve forest health and community well-being.

Website Development
The goal of the website is to convey information about the Alliance and about forest-related events to the Alliance’s members, prospective members, and interested stakeholders. It is also a tool for people to get in touch with the Alliance, sign up for a future newsletter, and express their interest to become a member
The structure of the site should remain simple so that it can be easily updated by the design team and can stay fresh. The site should be developed using a standard platform such as Squarespace. The main sections are:
• About us that details the vision, mission, and membership
• A blog that allows posting news and meeting announcement
• A document repository so people can easily find key reports
• A contact area so people can get in touch and sign up for the newsletter

The design team will provide the style guide as well as the content, including pictures. Although we are not planning on developing specific video content at this stage, we need to be able to embed video into the blog posts.
