We are a startup that  needs ongoing help developing features for our medical research SaaS application. Our stack is next.js/react using react-query and mobx for state management and mantine for the UI library.

The application is heavily focused on medical imaging like MRIs, ultrasounds, and medical video, so ideally you’ll have experience with web-based image editing software and all the performance headaches that come with that. Experience with the cornerstone.js library or DICOM files is a huge plus. Our application depends on performance with large image files (often 200MB+) so it would be great if you had experience optimizing performance through preloading, bespoke caching strategies, optimistic rendering, and so on. We are in the medical AI field, so past experience with medical AI is a plus.

We like to work with people who care deeply about the craft of programming and have opinions on important computer science issues.

There is already one backend dev and one other frontend dev. Our workstyle is to work independently on particular features while collaborating on slack. We’ll require daily commits and good communication about what you achieved each day.

Hourly Range: $10.00-$25.00
