Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated WordPress Developer and Site Administrator to ensure our website remains up, accessible, and fast at all times. The ideal candidate will manage our site on WP Engine, perform custom front-end coding as needed, and proactively address any issues that may arise. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mindset to maintain and enhance our online presence.

Key Responsibilities:
Website Uptime and Performance: Proactively Monitor website performance and uptime regularly, ensuring the site remains up and fast at all times.

WP Engine Management: Utilize WP Engine tools and resources to manage the hosting environment, perform backups, and troubleshoot hosting issues.

Performance Optimization: Optimize website speed and performance using caching, image optimization, and other techniques to ensure a fast user experience.

Custom Development: Implement custom code and features on the front end, ensuring they meet design specifications and enhance user experience.

Updates and Security: Apply WordPress updates, including core, themes, and plugins. Implement security best practices to protect the site from vulnerabilities.

Troubleshooting and Support: Address technical issues as they arise, providing timely resolutions to maintain website functionality.

Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, such as designers, content creators, and marketing personnel, to align website features with overall business goals.

Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in WordPress, including theme and plugin development.
Experience with WP Engine or similar managed WordPress hosting platforms.
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap) and responsive design principles.
Deep understanding of website performance optimization techniques.
Knowledge of SEO best practices.

Experience:
Proven experience managing and developing WordPress websites.
Demonstrable experience with custom coding and feature implementation.
Previous experience in website administration and technical support.

Soft Skills:
Ability to communicate and respond in a timely manner for high severity items
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Hourly Range: $50.00-$75.00
