We are seeking a highly skilled developer or development team to create a real-time basketball shot tracking system. The system will be designed to accurately track the trajectory and movement of a basketball during training shots, providing valuable insights and data for performance analysis. The ideal candidate(s) will have extensive experience in computer vision, machine learning, and real-time processing. While we are considering using Stereolabs ZED cameras, we are open to suggestions for other potential solutions that may better suit the project requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop a system for real-time tracking of basketball shots during training.
• Implement algorithms to extract features such as ball position, velocity, spin, and trajectory.
• Use machine learning models to predict shot outcomes based on the extracted features.
• Implement the system with a Dev Kit or PLC, and ensure seamless communication between them.
• Ensure the system can handle real-time processing with minimal latency.
• Collaborate with our team for on-site or remote implementation at our Brookvale location.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong background in computer vision and image processing, preferably with OpenCV.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python and C++.
• Experience with real-time data processing and optimization.
• Familiarity with Stereolabs ZED cameras and SDK, or other comparable depth-sensing and tracking technologies.
• Knowledge of hardware integration, including PLC programming, is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with our team.

Preferred Software and Tools:

• OpenCV for computer vision tasks.
• TensorFlow or PyTorch for machine learning model development.
• Stereolabs ZED SDK (or equivalent) for depth sensing and spatial tracking.
• Python and C++ for development.
• SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB) for data storage and management.

Deliverables:

• A fully functional real-time basketball shot tracking system capable of accurately tracking and predicting basketball trajectories during training.
• Documentation covering system design, implementation, and usage instructions.
• A final report detailing the testing process, results, and any recommendations for further improvements.
