We are a medico-legal practice management system seeking to develop a specialized medical transcription scribe for real-time medico-legal assessments. This project involves transcribing assessments lasting up to two hours and organizing the transcriptions into a structured report template. We are looking for an experienced AI developer to help us build this application, with a focus on evaluating and implementing the most suitable optimized Whisper model for our specific needs.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate and compare optimized Whisper models, including but not limited to Deepgram’s Whisper Cloud and Gladia, to determine the most suitable solution for our medico-legal transcription needs.
Integrate the chosen Whisper model API with our existing practice management system.
Customize and fine-tune the selected model for medico-legal terminology and context.
Develop a real-time streaming transcription solution capable of handling long-form audio.
Implement natural language processing (NLP) capabilities to analyze transcriptions and format them into structured report templates.
Ensure the solution is scalable, secure, and compliant with relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
Collaborate with our team to understand specific requirements and iterate on the solution based on feedback.
Provide documentation and training for our team to maintain and update the system.

Requirements:

Proven experience in AI development, particularly in speech-to-text transcription and NLP.
Strong understanding of various Whisper model implementations and their optimizations.
Familiarity with Deepgram’s Whisper Cloud API, Gladia, and other similar speech-to-text technologies.
Experience in evaluating and benchmarking different AI models for specific use cases.
Proficiency in machine learning and model fine-tuning, especially in the medical or legal domain.
Experience with real-time streaming transcription solutions.
Strong programming skills, particularly in Python, and familiarity with frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Knowledge of NLP frameworks such as spaCy, NLTK, or similar.
Experience integrating AI solutions into existing systems and ensuring compliance with data security regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.e

Hourly Range: $35.00-$50.00
