Saudi Arabia, on June 21, welcomed Armenia’s decision to recognise the state of Palestine. The Saudi Foreign Ministry called it an important step that supports the path of establishing an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. Hamas, a senior official from the Palestinian Authority, the head of Gulf Cooperation Council, the Arab Parliament, and Kuwait also welcomed Armenia’s decision.
