LanguageGuessr is an exciting online game that challenges players to identify languages from audio samples, similar to the popular GeoGuessr but for languages. We’re looking for a talented and entrepreneurial developer to help take our project to the next level.
Position Overview:
We’re seeking a self-starter full stack developer with experience in building products from 0 to 1. As a key contributor to LanguageGuessr, you’ll work on various aspects of the application, from backend logic to frontend components, helping to shape and improve the user experience.

NextJS (TypeScript)
Supabase
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement new gamification features, including achievements based on complex SQL queries
Create and integrate multiplayer functionality
Improve algorithms for personalized user experiences
Build and refine both backend logic and frontend components
Rapidly prototype and iterate on new features
Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience in full stack development, particularly with NextJS and TypeScript
Familiarity with Supabase or similar database technologies
Strong background in building side projects or working at early-stage startups
Ability to work independently and take ownership of features from conception to deployment
Passion for language learning, games, or both is a plus
