Hamas criticized U.S. State Secretary Antony Blinken for attributing the stalled ceasefire talks to the group. Osama Hamdan, a senior Hamas official reportedly labeled Blinken as “part of the problem and not the solution.” Additionally, Osama Hamdan reportedly denied claims of Hamas making “new changes” to the proposal and emphasized that the Israeli occupation was hindering the ceasefire in Gaza. Blinken previously stated that some of the changes proposed by Hamas were “unworkable” and urged Hamas to cease haggling and accept the ceasefire deal to bring an end to the war.
