In a Times Magazine interview, US President Joe Biden made a suggestion that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is dragging the conflict in Gaza out of a need for political expediency. When asked if he thought Netanyahu intended to drag out the battle in order to maintain his hold on power, Biden responded, “There is every reason for people to draw that conclusion.”
