The Palestinian Islamic Jihad has released a new video featuring Israeli-Russian hostage Sasha. The 28-year-old named Alexander Trufanov, was kidnapped by Hamas militants on October 7, 2023. In the latest video by PIJ, Sasha is heard criticizing the Netanyahu government. The nearly 3-minute-long video shows Sasha appealing for a ceasefire and to be brought back home. Similar videos have been released by Hamas and allies from the Gaza Strip in the past. Israel has condemned them as psychological warfare meant to torture Israelis.
