United States has reportedly threatened Israel with pausing more weapons shipments if the IDF ‘smashes’ into Rafah. “[If Israel goes into Rafah in] a big way, [the U.S. will] make other decisions about the kind of support that we are providing Israel… We hope it doesn’t come to that…We hope that Israel won’t do that,” John Kirby, White House National Security Spokesperson said. The U.S. had earlier confirmed that it paused a weapons shipment over concerns about Israel’s military operation in Rafah.
