Requirements are the following:
– Hosted on AWS
– Infrastructure as a code to be provided in Terraform
– Server must host and serve large amounts of vector and raster types to the fronted. Raster tiles are large othophotos.
– A REST API is needed to upload data from our backend services. API will get TIFF files and geojson, kml inputs that are needed to be processed and uploaded to the tile server. It needs to be implemented in Python. The data will be on S3.
– Tiles need to support level 23.
– Server needs to be compatible with Mapbox JS and Leaf
– Needs to be performant and scalable to serve a large number of requests in the future.
Scope of work:
– Consultation to jointly select used technologies (open source base) and finalize approach
– Installation of PoC system
– Implementation of API service in Python
– Unit tests
– Terraform scripts that we can completely replicate the component setup in multiple environments
– Developer level documentation
– Handover to the internal development team
We are looking for an individual contractor or team to implement on a fixed-price basis. Not looking for agencies!
