Hello! Our startup is looking for a DevOps/Backend Engineer to help us create a new, AI-powered social shopping app. Within the app, you can upload a photo, take a picture, or browse a discovery feed to instantly identify what somebody is wearing and a dozen different places you can shop their outfit.

We’re looking for a talented developer that can act as both a backend engineer (Elixir, LiveView) and an Infrastructure/DevOps engineer (GCP) to help us launch and scale our app (iOS only). Ideally you’ll be able to start next week.

Your responsibilities will include:
— Managing everything as it relates to our infrastructure (GCP)
— Deploying, scaling, maintaining our servers
— All the database items that come with creating a social platform, like user profiles and user-uploaded content
— Partner with our existing backend engineer to build out new product features in Elixir/LiveView

You’ll be stepping into the project in its early stages, several months into development. This is a remote opportunity for a talented developer that has experience launching and scaling social apps at scale, and is comfortable working as both a backend engineer and infrastructure/DevOps engineer. We’re looking for a commitment of at least 3+ months (ideally longer), 30-40 hours/week, able to work a US schedule (have at least 4-5 hours of overlap from 7am-3pm PT).
