Strong oral and written communication skills (C1 level or better) in English
Strong professional software engineering, data structure, design pattern, and modern programming experience
Ability to visualize system integration and then execute builds (with the team)
Open communication and willingness to work with other engineers of various specialties
Solid knowledge of building backend systems and server-side programming languages
Experience with Nginx and Apache servers, with a solid background in Linux
Experience with Cloud computing (GCP experience preferable)
Strong understanding of PHP
Ability to debug issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
Knowledge of building systems with efficient auto-scaling to handle peak loads
Working experience of deployment and integration pipelines
Working knowledge of containers
Familiarity with reviewing designs provided to you via prototyping tools such as Photoshop, Sketch and InVision, in order to build related backend functionality
Demonstrated ability to work independently (good work ethic, maturity, and personal initiative), as well as ability to work as member of a highly collaborative team
Close attention to detail and quality in all aspects of job performance
Self-discipline for planning and organizing tasks
The ability to contribute meaningfully to product and team vision
Ability to adapt to changing project and client needs
