Project Overview:
We are seeking a skilled web development team to create a comprehensive online material selection tool for a homebuilder. The tool will enable homebuilders to manage material selections online, streamline their workflow, and improve communication with clients. The project will be built using PHP, Bootstrap, and similar technologies.

Key Features:
1. User Management: Implement a robust user management system with multiple levels of access control, including administrator, project manager, and user roles.
2. Project Module: Develop a project module to track the details of various homes being built – project name, address, assigned users, project status (active, complete) etc…
3. Location Creation and Management: Create a location creation and management module to define the levels (floors) of the home, including rooms and areas within the rooms.
4. Material Selection: Design an intuitive interface for users to select materials for each location in the home, including items like tile, carpet, paint colors, and other items.  Allow users to attach images and files to items.  This will be simple data entry fields – spreadsheet style.
5. View Toggle: Implement a feature to toggle between different views, such as by category or location. Include a status field for each material selection item to track progress and highlight incomplete items. Allow categories to have due dates to ensure timely completion of material selections.
6. Report Module: Develop a report module to generate printable PDF reports by location or category, including material selections and status.  Include the ability to filter by various aspects – location, category, etc…
7. Dashboard: Create a dashboard to help users track progress and highlight incomplete items globally, and per project.  
8. Templates.  The ability to create project templates to be used when a new project is created.  Pre-defined levels, rooms, and items within the rooms.  

Technical Requirements:
Programming languages: PHP (or similar – open to alternative proposals)
Front-end framework: Bootstrap
Database: MySQL or similar relational database management system
Additional technologies: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3

Project Scope:
The initial scope of the project is to develop the online material selection tool for a single company. However, the potential for expansion to a multitenant solution exists, and the chosen development team should be able to adapt the tool for future scalability.

Deliverables:
A fully functional online material selection tool with the features outlined above
A comprehensive user manual and documentation
A testing plan to ensure the tool meets the required standards
