Job Overview:
We are on the hunt for a skilled WordPress developer to assist in refining and launching a web app prototype for an innovative Australian startup. Our WordPress foundation is set for alpha testing, and we require your expertise to enhance and prepare our system for a successful beta release in May 2024.

Required Skills:
– Expertise in PHP, Javascript, HTML, and CSS is essential.
– Proven experience with WordPress functionalities, including custom post types, custom fields, custom taxonomies, and crafting SQL queries.
– Familiarity with the Avada theme, Gravity Forms with Advanced Post Creation add-on, and Gravity Perks (especially Populate Anything) is highly regarded.
– Expertise in React Native would be a strong asset for the project’s evolution towards smartphone app development in the future.

Communication:
– Native-level English proficiency for consistent video conferencing and email communication.
– Outstanding communication skills are vital for collaboration with our Product Development team.

Project Duration:
Our timeline targets a Beta Release by May 2024, with the possibility for this contractual role to mature into a full-time engagement for the perfect fit.

Commitment:
Initiating at 8 hours weekly across two sessions, your collaboration with our Sydney-based project manager will be crucial. There’s a possibility for role enlargement to full-time contingent on project evolution and fit.

Initial Responsibilities:
You will tackle early challenges such as:
– Crafting a secure user registration and authentication mechanism in WordPress.
– Enhancing image upload and optimisation processes, with a focus on supporting HEIC file formats.
– Fortifying the WordPress environment to safeguard user privacy and data security.
Aligning the front-end user interface seamlessly with our Figma designs.
