Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced E-commerce Website Developer to lead the development and launch of SundayShoppers.com, an innovative online marketplace that operates exclusively on Sundays. This platform will allow vendors to list their products throughout the week, with sales activating only on Sundays. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development, experience with e-commerce platforms (preferably Shopify or WooCommerce), and the ability to implement custom functionalities to meet our unique business model.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Selection and Setup: Choose the most suitable e-commerce platform based on the project requirements, considering factors such as scalability, customizability, and ease of use for both vendors and customers.
Custom Development: Develop custom features, including a vendor dashboard, Sunday-only shopping window, live product reveals, automated commission system, and customer wishlist/notifications.
UI/UX Design: Create a user-friendly and engaging interface for both vendors and customers, ensuring the website is responsive and accessible across various devices.
Testing and Deployment: Conduct thorough testing of the website to ensure functionality, security, and performance. Deploy the website and monitor its performance, making adjustments as necessary.
Maintenance and Updates: Provide ongoing maintenance and updates to the platform, ensuring it remains secure, efficient, and up-to-date with the latest web standards and e-commerce trends.
Vendor and Customer Support Systems: Implement support systems for both vendors and customers to address any issues or inquiries.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in e-commerce website development, with a portfolio that includes multi-vendor marketplaces.
Proficiency in web development languages and frameworks (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Ruby on Rails, depending on the chosen platform).
Experience with Shopify or WooCommerce, including custom plugin or theme development.
Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design.
Familiarity with payment processing systems and e-commerce legal/regulatory requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Haves:
