Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Google Ads Script Developer to create a specialized tool that integrates with Google Sheets for comprehensive analysis of change history and its impact on key performance metrics in Google Ads campaigns.
Project Overview:
Our objective is to develop a script that automatically pulls a change history report from Google Ads into a Google Sheet. This tool should not only document the changes made to each campaign but also analyze and report on the effects these changes have on specific performance metrics. The focus will be on evaluating the impact of changes on conversions, conversion value, conversion value/cost, and conversion value/conversion metrics.
Responsibilities:
– Develop a Google Ads script that can fetch change history data for specified campaigns and import it into Google Sheets.
– Ensure the script can identify and record various change types (e.g., budget adjustments, bid changes, ad copy edits, etc.) and the dates these changes were made.
– Create functionality within the Google Sheet to analyze pre-change and post-change performance, focusing on the specified metrics.
– The analysis should be presented in an easy-to-understand format within the Google Sheet, highlighting the correlation between specific changes and performance outcomes.
– Implement user-friendly features in the Google Sheet for customizing the date range, campaigns, and specific changes to analyze.
– Ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the import and analysis process.
– Provide documentation and guidance on how to use and customize the tool.
Requirements:
– Proven experience in Google Ads scripting and API integration.
– Strong proficiency in Google Sheets, including scripting for custom functions, data analysis, and visualization.
– Knowledge of Google Ads campaign management and key performance metrics.
– Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets to draw meaningful insights.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Strong communication skills to effectively document and explain the tool’s functionality.
Project Deliverables:
– A fully functional Google Ads script that automatically imports change history data into a Google Sheet.
– A Google Sheet template set up for analyzing the impact of campaign changes on specified metrics.
