What we do:
For 25 years we have been a world leader in the design and manufacture of avionics systems for the sports and unmanned aviation markets.  We are developing an exciting new range of products and are looking for full time contract resources to join or team for an initial 6m period.

What is the task:
We are looking for experienced STM32 and ESP32 C developers who also have experience developing Flutter mobile apps and the underlying iOS and Android hardware interfaces. You will be developing firmware/software functionality in the following areas:
– 10BaseT1S Ethernet (RMII and SPI on STM32 and ESP32)
– I2C and SPI sensor interfaces
– Sensor fusion algorithms
– Software defined radio signal procession including leveraging the DSP hardware of the STM32H7
– Digital audio mixing and digital audio distribution
– Mission critical "digital twin" data distribution/replication
– LCD graphics on ESP32
– WiFi and Bluetooth (BLE and Classic) on ESP32
– Remote secure firmware updating
– App design implementation in Flutter and iOs/Android

How will you demonstrate success:
Technical:
– You will use your app, ESP32 and STM32 firmware skills to deliver the necessary functionality in accordance with our product architecture and master plan.
– You will create and execute detailed test plans that document compliance to requirements.
– You will identify and highlight to the project manager technical and schedule risks and work with the team to find mitigations.
Attitude:
– You will work collaboratively within the team to meet your 2 weekly sprint commitments.
– You will work within the team to capture the requirements in writing and then fully documented your design in Confluence and published your code to GitHub.
– You will be a positive and engaged team member.

What you will have done before:
– You will have a strong track record in delivering STM32 and ESP32 firmware and mobile app projects in C / Flutter.
– You will have previously delivered both STM32 and ESP32 projects that involved the tasks detailed above.
– You will have demonstrated your ability to work remotely whilst meeting the customers schedule

Ideally you will have also:
– Had experience in digital system prototyping  as this will simplify remote development.
– Worked with GitHub, Jira and Confluence.

For the right candidate there will be opportunities for continued engagement.  This is a full time role and you are expected to work exclusively for us.

Hourly Range: $10.00-$15.00
