admin1. Automate Stock Purchasing
For this first task, I’d like to have a way to identify stocks from NYSE, NASDAQ and AMEX) that meet a certain criteria every day (low-float, under x dollars per share, etc).
From there, I’d like to send an API call to my financial broker (Alpaca.market) to purchase shares of a stock.
Then, if the stock takes a 5-10% decline, I’d like our API to send my financial broker to sell those stocks.
Key Deliverables: Create an algorithm that identifies stocks based on my criteria that alerts me via a web interface. Create an API and/or automation that I can use to send to my financial broker, Alpaca.market to buy/sell stocks.

2. Stock Sentiment Analysis
The second task includes scraping Reddit for sentiment related to stocks. I’d like to understand what stocks are being talked about and the volume of conversations/comments around those stocks.
In addition, I’d like to see the purchase/sell volume of those stocks (NYSE, NASDAQ, AMEX) and have the ability to see a trend over the past x days to see if the stock has momentum or not. There will have to be some sort of deployment of AI to understand slang and a way for me to train the AI bot/algorithm.
Deliverables: Scrape Reddit for sentiment related to stocks and display this in a web interface and have a way for me to understand the purchase/sell volume of those stocks over the past x days so I can determine if there is momentum there. Deploy an AI learning model to better understand sentiment as most of the comments on Reddit use slang terms.
