We’ve just launched our service, and we have never focused on really optimising the site. We are looking for a WordPress expert, ideally someone who has had their own WordPress site and knows the challenges of generating leads and converting them to customers. We need someone to proactively look at our site and help us figure it out what changes need to be done, and then make the changes.

There is potential for a longer-term relationship – a quick fix isn’t the goal here. We already have developers in our app development team who could do this, but are looking for someone really passionate about WordPress who would focus only on this marketing website. We hope it can be an interesting shared venture. If you have an eye for detail and design, we’ll really get on (I think there are a lot of minor tweaks you can help us with).

The key tasks right now are:

1. Creating a mega menu
2. Helping us update WordPress and theme to the latest versions
3. Update some CSS to some new designs
4. Optimise our site for speed and SEO

Typically, we don’t need immediate work done – you can schedule it within the coming week or two, but our expectations should be managed. What’s important is that it gets done the right way. No shortcuts, just work to be proud of that’s executed efficiently and within the agreed timeframe.

Good internet connection and a readiness to talk over video calls about the work to be done is required. And if a call is agreed on, we expect you to attend, on time. I will make written specs for the work, but talking them over is an important step that I don’t want to miss. I’m in Europe, so a willingness to talk during my working day is preferred, but for the right developer I’ll talk to you any time.

I’m really hoping together we can make something beautiful, advert free, fast, valuable to families and optimised for SEO!

Hourly Range: $8.00-$20.00
