Position Overview:
As an Android AOSP Developer, you’ll play a crucial role in developing a solution that enhances child safety on Android devices. This project involves integrating advanced features into the core of the Android operating system to prevent the recording and viewing of inappropriate content, ensuring a secure environment for young users.

Key Responsibilities:

– Integrate features into the Android OS to actively detect and block the recording of inappropriate content using the device’s camera.
– Develop a seamless system to replace harmful content on the screen with a predefined image, preventing further recording or viewing.
– Ensure the child safety features only activate when harmful content is detected, allowing the device to operate normally under regular conditions.
– Implement robust protection mechanisms within the Android OS to prevent decompilation and tampering, safeguarding our intellectual property.
– Optimise the integration to operate seamlessly with the Android OS, avoiding any impact on battery performance and ensuring compatibility with various Android device manufacturers.
Requirements:

Strong experience in Android AOSP development, focusing on system-level integration.
– Proficient in implementing advanced camera and screen manipulation features directly into the operating system.
– Solid understanding of security measures to protect against decompilation and tampering within the Android OS.
– Knowledge of low-level Android system interactions and customisation.
– Familiarity with battery optimisation techniques specific to the Android OS.
– Proven track record of delivering high-quality, innovative solutions within specified timelines.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Bonus Skills:
Familiarity with image processing and recognition technologies at the system level.
