We are looking for a skilled professional to help our website. The website was set up about 5 years ago, went through a few iterations, and then the developer stopped responding. Everything worked great for a while, but now we run into email server issues frequently, an expiring hosting domain, missing passwords for things that need to be replaced, etc. We are now looking to make sure we have an understanding of where everything ‘lives’, how to access it, and what is needed to keep the site up and running.

Requirements:

1. Consulting about website access, passwords, hosting platforms, email server questions, etc. Help us understand everything and understand how the website is set up to avoid as many unforeseen circumstances as possible.

2. Select and integrate a self-managed booking platform. If you can come up with 2-3 options or a strong recommendation, we can help make sure it will work with our business and customer needs. (For example: if we have 4 beds, and all 4 are booked, then the calendar shows bookings are full). Research on booking platforms is required. On the current calendar, it shows anyone can book any day (except Friday). If we get double booked, we have to contact them to suggest alternative dates. We have been unable to get into the current booking plugin since it was set up with a password that we cannot access.

3. Analysis of website speed and performance, and recommendations to improve.
4. Strong communication is a must! Regular updates on progress and findings and anticipated timelines are needed, and Zoom calls to walk through findings are better than emails or texts.
5. Document findings and things we will need to know moving forward about how the website is created and suggestions for improvement.
