We are looking for a skilled 8th Wall developer to create two versions of a web (or Unity) application that tracks a virtual wig onto a user’s head. These interactive experiences will be hosted on separate kiosks at a live event, each offering a unique creative concept. One version of the application will include multiple hairstyles for users to choose from, while the other version will feature only one hairstyle.

Both versions of the application will include an attract screen, a pre-registration screen where users enter their contact information, the "magic mirror" experience where users are recorded with their virtual wig for approximately 10-15 seconds, a final confirmation screen, and a loop back to the attract screen for the next guest. Additionally, the video takeaway will be sent to the guest via email using Sendgrid.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop two versions of a web application using 8th Wall technology to track a virtual wig onto a user’s head in real-time.
• Implement an attract screen, pre-registration screen, "magic mirror" experience, and confirmation screen within each version of the application.
• For one version, integrate multiple hairstyles for users to choose from.
• Integrate with Sendgrid API to send the recorded video takeaway to guests via email.
• Ensure both versions of the application are completed and fully functional by the specified deadline of February 23.

Questions for Applicants:

• What is your technical approach to a project like this?
• How long do you estimate it will take to complete the project?
• What sort of hardware would be required to run these applications with low latency at a live event?
• Can 8th Wall support tracking concurrent users, or would we need to limit it to one guest at a time?
• Are there any additional considerations we should be aware of in regards to capturing/sending the video to guests?

Requirements:

• Proficiency in web development languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or Unity and C#.
• Experience with 8th Wall or similar augmented reality development platforms.
• Familiarity with integrating APIs, particularly Sendgrid for email delivery.
• Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and deliver high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience developing interactive experiences for live events or installations.
• Knowledge of hardware requirements for running web applications with low latency in a live event setting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

We look forward to hearing from you!
