Trump’s “unchallenged” blockade on Iran is starting to look like a myth. A second Iranian oil supertanker, Derya, has bypassed the U.S. squeeze and sailed all the way to Indonesia, even after an earlier attempt to deliver 1.88 million barrels of crude to India was blocked by American interceptions. At the same time, shipping monitors say around 25 tankers left Iran with crude in April alone, while only a handful were forced back or seized, raising tough questions about how effective the U.S. Navy really is in the Strait of Hormuz.
