Tensions between Hezbollah and Israel reached a boiling point as around 100 rockets targeted northern Israel in four waves on July 16 and 17. The first salvo, targeting Kiryat Shmona, set off waves of sirens and saw nearly 40 rockets fired at the area. Despite the Iron Dome intercepting several rockets, some buildings were struck, causing significant damage.
